We have a great selection of summer bedding for pots, borders and hanging baskets and a wide range of young vegetable plants to “grow your own”
Soft fruit plants are still available with strawberries added to the selection.
We also have a local grower supplying us with a range of organically grown tomato and veg. seedlings.
The choice of Herbaceous Perennials grows larger every week with new stock. Aquilegia, Delphiniums, Lupins, Hostas, Penstemons and Geraniums are just a few of the varieties on offer.
Summer flowering Shrubs are looking good and the coverered area is a blaze of colour from the masses Rhododendrons and Azaleas.
Hedging
Thursday, March 4th, 2010Hedging is now almost all sold out for this season. The same selection should be available again in late autumn and we will be taking orders towards the end of the summer. Prices may be subject to alteration.

A full range of summer flowering bulbs is here, as well as seed potatoes, onion sets and garlic etc.

Bonspiel at Ardkinglas House, 9th Jan 2010
Wednesday, January 13th, 2010On Saturday 9 January some of the TREE SHOP staff took part in a bonspiel in Ardkinglas House Garden. A bonspiel is a curling competition taking place on a frozen loch or lake. This one was on the Caspian - a small loch in the garden grounds. It was the first time there was enough ice this century!
Many local enthusiasts turned out and children and adults all had a wonderful afternoon.
Seed Potatoes and Vegetable Packs
Wednesday, December 16th, 2009These will be stocked from mid January. Veg packs will include onions and garlic and the seed potatoes will be available in “taster” packs as well as the normal bags, so you can try out new varieties in small quantities.
Fruit Trees
Wednesday, December 16th, 2009We have a good selection of bare root fruit trees in stock at the moment as well as some container grown varieties. Family fruit trees ( three varieties on one tree ) and fan-trained and espaliered forms are also available.

Hedging
Wednesday, December 16th, 2009Now, until the end of March, is the time to be thinking about planting a hedge. Our Argyll Mix is proving very popular. We will take orders until the end of January for delivery in February. (See the on-line Hedging List for the wide range available.)
