August 11th, 2010Spring flowering bulbs for planting this autumn are now in. We have a huge range, including large selections of tulips, daffodils and crocuses as well as snowdrops, (single and double), bluebells, anemones and alliums. Some daffodil varieties are available in bulk nets for naturalising.
New Seasons Stock
August 5th, 2010Early September sees the arrival of a new range of ornamental trees and shrubs. Autumn is an excellent time to plant - the soil is warm and the trees can get established before the onset of winter.
In this autumn’s collection will be some exciting additions to choose from. These include some new Crab Apples, flowering Cherries and Rowans.
We also have a good selection of small pot grown native and common trees such as hawthorn, ash, alder, horse chestnut and many more.

July 10th, 2010The busy spring season is now drawing to a close and the range of Rhododendrons, Azaleas and trees is becoming more limited. Please contact us if you have any particular queries regarding current availability as the situation is changing daily. We are happy to reserve stock for customers to collect or have sent at a time convenient to them.
Herbaceous perennials and summer shrubs are now the main feature here as well as a good selection of David Austin Roses.

May 12th, 2010The plant area is now bursting at the seams!
We have a great selection of summer bedding for pots, borders and hanging baskets and a wide range of young vegetable plants to “grow your own”
Soft fruit plants are still available with strawberries added to the selection.
We also have a local grower supplying us with a range of organically grown tomato and veg. seedlings.
The choice of Herbaceous Perennials grows larger every week with new stock. Aquilegia, Delphiniums, Lupins, Hostas, Penstemons and Geraniums are just a few of the varieties on offer.
Summer flowering Shrubs are looking good and the coverered area is a blaze of colour from the masses Rhododendrons and Azaleas.
Hedging
March 4th, 2010Hedging is now almost all sold out for this season. The same selection should be available again in late autumn and we will be taking orders towards the end of the summer. Prices may be subject to alteration.

Bonspiel at Ardkinglas House, 9th Jan 2010
January 13th, 2010On Saturday 9 January some of the TREE SHOP staff took part in a bonspiel in Ardkinglas House Garden. A bonspiel is a curling competition taking place on a frozen loch or lake. This one was on the Caspian - a small loch in the garden grounds. It was the first time there was enough ice this century!
Many local enthusiasts turned out and children and adults all had a wonderful afternoon.
Seed Potatoes and Vegetable Packs
December 16th, 2009These will be stocked from mid January. Veg packs will include onions and garlic and the seed potatoes will be available in “taster” packs as well as the normal bags, so you can try out new varieties in small quantities.
